I LOVE how Instagram allows us to connect and share all of our awesome abilities, but I have a request. This week, I'm asking to see some of your fragile and vulnerable moments, including letdowns you may feel before or after your workout. If I could, I would fly across our workout world like a fairy in a bodysuit 🧚‍♂️ to see your breakdowns before the inevitable build-ups. These moments are the most empowering when they are honestly shared. There is genuine strength in the face to face moments where we should celebrate the fact that we simply dodged a catastrophe. There is genuine strength in a community that continually aligns and shares to build up by facing the realities that pull us down. I've been in full reminiscent mode while designing my new website (coming soon!) and cannot believe there's only 10 #tbt left until the end of the decade. Where did the time go?! To start the countdown, I'll be looking back at some of the most pivotal moments of my journey and sharing one every Thursday for the next 10 weeks of 2019. I know I'm not the only one with fond #tamily memories, so share yours and tag me, too! Here I am back in 2005 when I started to really see the impact of my soon-to-be life’s work. I was in the midst of my first concentrated focus group of 150 different women measuring their progress and results every 10 days while personally creating new custom sequences tailored to create balance where there was imbalance. Their physical and mental transformations still inspire me to this day! #tbt

For the past 21 years, I have had a consistent, personal rhythm focused on each of our well-beings. I first became devoted to this rhythm when I was pregnant with my son, and met an incredible mind who had dedicated his career to a better way forward for athletes. Off of his core work, I embarked on my own discipline to create works that would provide tools for each of you to consistently show up for your total health. According to the largest study ever published on the subject, only women who worked up a sweat at least five or more times a week appeared to get significant protection." Feeling so proud of @victoriabeckham and the launch of her @victoriabeckhambeauty line At today’s celebration, Victoria spoke about the importance of sustainable beauty and our right to know the ingredients that we use in our makeup. She spoke about the importance of strength amongst women and community. So basically, Victoria spoke about all of the things that matter to me as a woman and mother, including how she won’t be coming out with a wrinkle erasing product because we are MEANT to get wrinkles. She presented this launch the day after her stunning fashion show unveiling her designs for spring/summer 2020 with strength and femininity in a romantic dance, and also right after school drop off because she is THAT kind of dialed in superwoman. Congratulations my pal! I am already obsessed with all of the eye makeup! It’s completely stunning and in my stories.

About yesterday. At 5:05pm on September 5th 1998 my son @samanderson101 was born. His Father and I were over the moon. In that moment I was focused on him nursing and naming him after Sam I Am. His amazing Dad chose Sam after Sam Malone from Cheers. Well needless to say as much as we wish they could stay children forever it is just as rewarding at this milestone into adulthood that you are the kind of individual that values family, significant small moments of relationships, being present in the now, taking care of our Earth’s health, each other’s health and your own health, kindness and so many significant qualities that send the strongest signal of the kind of good man that you are. You present humility and you give the kind of attention that people hope to receive from another and hope to give to others. I look up to you as your baby sister does. You make us laugh, learn and feel so loved. Happy 21st Birthday my adult Sam! We love you so dearly! 🥂

Yesterday, my dear friend @sallypr81 challenged me with the #onevidaatatime #hugchallenge to raise funds and awareness for www.immigrantfamiliestogether.com and - putting political agendas aside, I accept. Currently, immigrant detainees, including young children, are being deprived of the most basic human needs: the right to be with their parents, running water, clean clothes, adequate food, healthy sleep, and beds. To not see the suffering and pain in these innocent youth, and the future problematic outcomes of their trauma is akrasia. Did you know that the human heart generates a magnetic field that can be measured up to 10 feet from the body’s surface? Its capacity reaches much farther than that, but it can actually be measured 10 feet. The heart field is also 5 thousand times stronger than the brain. Did you also know that the most healing way to help one another is by placing a person with a repressed heart field with someone else’s stronger heart field as a template that can heal some of the most difficult and painful illnesses? There is no stronger connection than that of a nurturing parent with a healthy template for a healthy heart field who holds their child. That healthy heart field trains the heart field of the child and shapes it’s health forever. Because I don’t believe that politics and the basics of human decency belong in the same conversation, I challenge the borderless hearts of the #tamily to post photos of the ones they hold dear in support of #onevidaatatimehugchallenge . As if Summer coming to an end wasn't emotional enough, today's @latimes story has had me reflecting and all morning! Feeling stuck? Just as strong friends can help us get “untangled” so can our daily workouts. If you don’t process feelings that don’t “feel right” through your physical self your energy can become so tangled you get stuck. You begin to correlate feelings that don’t “feel right” with non identical circumstances over and over. When you physically move through tangled thoughts you produce a larger feeling field. That inner landscape offers you a deeper perspective of why you might feel this way and how you can find that feelings true purpose. Often times something that might not “feel right” can turn into the most beautiful outcome of positive growth for you and those who love you.

One of the most prominent strengths of my online studio isn’t always pretty. It’s that we get to send each other a truthful signal about where we are in our lives every week. With those signals we can support one another. When I decided to make my classes live weekly people felt that was going to be a very vulnerable and huge commitment. I can’t just disappear and get myself “ready” to shoot a perfectly produced DVD or perfectly pre produced streaming content that I get time to edit etc. You get to see the raw truth of being in class with me every week as we move through our physicality together. The truth isn’t always beautiful but the truth is what we need to know so that we can be healthy. The truth is I mess up on reps sometimes, I have some weeks where life throws me challenges or things to celebrate as we all do. The truth is that I do my part to stay in a physically healthy place. The line of energy that all of you bring to the mat and to the moves weekly as you learn, perform and process is what makes our energy move and not get stuck in us. Part of being mentally and physically healthy is not allowing yourself to become energetically stuck. You can’t get unstuck without your physical self participating in that movement of energy and thought. Many times I enter my workout stressed and exit it relieved without any outside participation with anyone else. A huge part of my research and choreography is around you consistently cleaning out stuck energy. That relives all kinds of pain. This weeks master class is a serious flow of energy! Yesterday was day one of my second Hamptons ViTALity Week this summer! Just like the first, it has brought together an incredible group of people from all corners of the world willing to spend exploratory time together in and out of my studio.
