As a teenager every year for my birthday I would ask my parents for an ELLE yearly subscription. Nothing makes me happier than seeing good people achieve their dreams but even more so when they happen to be one of my oldest friends. I first met @georgenorthwood in 2003, I had just started modeling in London and was told I was in dire need of a haircut but at that time I couldn’t afford a taxi ride let alone a proper salon cut. I was sent off to go see George who back then was a young trainee hairdresser that was in need of clients willing to allow him to test his burgeoning scissor skills on. We hit it off right away and really the rest is history, he remains my hairstylist but more importantly my close friend to this day. His talents are unparalleled but with George it’s beyond just talent alone, it’s his warm and inviting sensibility and his cheeky yet kind personality that sets him apart and keeps his incredible roster of clients coming back time and time again. First I excitedly watched him open his salon in 2014 and this week he launches his namesake product line. I’m beyond proud as his friend as I can attest to the amount of diligent work he has applied to the creation of these brilliant products which now are displayed proudly in my bathroom. After using his products my hair feels healthy and shiny, polished yet undone, they are so easy to use and at an affordable price point with clean formulas and fully recyclable packaging! I’m obsessed! Simply put George you are one in a million and its been an honour to be your client and your friend and to have been on our journeys together over the past 18 years!! I adore you.
