Making this music video was extra special, it was the first time since quarantine that we all got in the same room to perform. Being able to plug in and jam with my boys and to mucially connect in person after being deprived for so many months was like rediscovering my love for music. This song is all about connecting and disconnecting...how perfect! I'm a bit late to the party in finding @nothingbutthieves but I fell in love with them after hearing this song. Just sharing! @londonarabiafilm with @make_repost ・・・ LONDON ARABIA When I first set out to make my proof of concept Film LONDON ARABIA for my Feature I will shoot in 2021, several people tried to discourage me. 'Don't waste your time making a proof of concept', 'just try and finance the feature', 'its too long for a short film' and most memorably 'You do want some Film Festival laurels on your poster don't you?' That one really stuck with me. I don't make films to collect laurels but today we won our 14th Award and got accepted to our 20th Film Festival in the last two months. I now know my movie so much better and I now have a working relationship with my cast. I'm going to rewrite my Feature script with my specific cast in mind and lessons I learned making this 25 minute proof of concept. I'll make a better Feature because of it and investors can now look at a film, rather than just a script and a deck with some reference images. It's a living breathing thing. So to all the filmmakers and creatives out there - if there is a voice inside you saying - I feel I should make this - then go ahead and make it. Don't listen to the doubters and make your dream a living, breathing thing.
