The love I have experienced as an uncle has been so special and profound. I am so proud of my sister for bringing these two beautiful angels into the world and I’m so proud to be their uncle. They’ve filled what has sometimes been such an empty year with love and laughter. #uncleduties

Reflecting on what a crazy year 2020 has been... feeling grateful for life. Wishing everyone an amazing week

That’s a wrap for the season! I’m so grateful that I was able to recover in time for this last race. Gotta say a massive thanks to my team. It’s been one hell of a year with you guys and I’m so grateful for everything we’ve accomplished together. Such a fantastic result to get a 2-3 podium for the team. Let’s keep making #HIS7ORY together Congrats to Max for his win and so great to see Alex up there fighting with us. We had a real two-team battle going on! To #teamLH I love you guys, so grateful for the constant unconditional love. The positivity you guys always send me is truly humbling

My 2020 helmets have been my all time favourite. What’s yours??

I wasn’t sure I’d be here this weekend. I focused on healing my body as fast as I could and feel so grateful to have made it. I knew I wouldn’t be 100%. Naturally, recovery will take longer from Covid but still I enjoyed the battle in the car. @maxverstappen1 did a great job, as did @valtteribottas, and it’s great to see McLaren so close. I will give it my all tomorrow to try and finish off strong.

As I sit and reflect on yesterday’s havoc, I can’t help but think of poor Romain and his family. This could have been any of us sitting in the hospital but the courage and strength he’s shown is amazing to see. I’d like to thank our marshals and medical team for being on the scene and tending to Romain without hesitation, this was so brave. Really proud of you guys. Knowing that we have you there to pick us up when we stumble is really helpful.

What a crazy day. I’m so glad that both Romain and Lance were able to walk away from their accidents today. I’m wishing you both a speedy recovery. That was a tough race overall, I’m sure the other drivers felt it too. It’s a reminder to us and hopefully to the people who are watching that this is a dangerous sport, whilst we’re out there pushing the limits. We have to respect it. So grateful to the marshals and medical teams for the work they’ve done to put safety first today. I’m so thankful to my team, they did a great job with the strategy and what a privilege this is to get another podium. Want to say a massive thank you to #TeamLH you guys are amazing. Thank you for all your support. I’m sending you all love and positivity.

For these final three races of the season, we are fortunate to not have the pressure on us anymore but that does not mean we can take the foot off the gas. We have to dig deeper day by day to learn and grow to stay ahead of the game. I’m definitely happy with today. Tomorrow will be a battle as always and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

So my dad and I aren’t great at tennis but we are trying to get better. I always use a slice to beat him and he always falls for it. A day i’ll never forget #S7ILLRISING

Leading up to today and even after I crossed the line, I’ve been gathering my thoughts about what’s most important to me. This year has been so unpredictable. With the pandemic and obviously the season being pushed back by several months, I had the most downtime I’ve ever had in my life. It gave me the chance to really think about my ultimate purpose. Seven World Championships means the world to me, I can’t even describe how much, but there’s still another race we’ve yet to win. This year I’ve been driven not just by my desire to win on the track, but by a desire to help push our sport, and our world to become more diverse and inclusive. I promise you I am not going to stop fighting for change. We have a long way to go but I will continue to push for equality within our sport, and within the greater world we live in. Equaling Michael Schumacher’s record puts a spotlight on me that I know won’t be here forever. So, while you’re here, paying attention, I want to ask everyone to do their part in helping to create a more equal world. Let’s be more accepting and kinder to each other. Let’s make it so that opportunity is not something that is dependent on background or skin colour. Nothing is impossible. A driving force for me this year has been to set an example for the next generation, to never give up on your dreams. I was told by many that my dream was impossible, yet here I am. I want you to know that you can do it too. Never give up, keep fighting, and let’s keep rising to the occasion. #S7ILLRISING

7X Formula 1 World Champion. Wow. To everyone that has supported me along the way, this is for you. To my incredible family, where do I even start? I am eternally grateful for your unconditional love, sacrifices and support. I wholeheartedly dedicate this to all of you, I hope I’ve made you proud today. #TeamLH, you guys have been there for me through absolutely every step of my career, this is for each and every one of you. Team work from the top down. We are 7 time world champions, we keep fighting and pushing one another to be better in every way. Today, we didn’t get it right but it’s days like today we learn the most so it’s actually a good day! Tomorrow, is going to be even tougher but we win and we lose as a team so either way we are in this together. What do you think Toto and I were talking about here?

This was GP2 (Formula 2) which for those of you that don’t know, is the last step on the road to F1. I felt so much pressure that year. I was 21 years old and managed to win every championship in previous classes but now in a bigger league. Normally, I won the championship’s in the second year in other classes, a year for learning and a year for the win. However, the stars were aligning, a seat was a available at McLaren, of whom I was signed to and I thought if I could just win this thing in the first year I could get that seat. So I pushed like never before. In this race, I spun on lap two from Position 6. Fell back and that is a major blow, nobody comes back generally from that. But I had the race of my life and came 2nd. I believe this was probably THE race that sealed my future, I won the championship that year and got promoted to the McLaren F1 team the year after. The rest is history but this race is that showing of never giving up even if it feels impossible. Even if it is impossible, you still have to give it your all no matter what.

As an athlete, there are opportunities that come and go. I take a lot of pride in being very selective with whom I like to partner with. Being someone who loves tech and has so many gadgets, I’m really proud and grateful to announce a new partnership with @lg_signature.
