Body image: How I Perceive my body. Can be positive, can be negative, can be influenced by individual and environmental factors and boy, all of those things are true. I’ve struggled with my body image like many, most of my life but with a lot of help, reframing, healing and guidance, the truest thing is I know, is that when I am taking care of myself mentally, physically AND emotionally, when I am fueling my body for nutrition and strength, when I am moving my body for my mental health and when I remind myself that I’m doing my best- that’s when the positive voices are the loudest inside.

A few things IG friends ️ 1. Yes, my mug says “does this ring make me look engaged?” And if you follow me, you know we are planning a wedding for this summer. Everyday is different and things change like vaccine roll out, stay at home orders, etc. Somedays we are super hopeful and some days we think, wow this is never going to happen the way we want it to. It’s been hard to get too excited because we know anything goes. We try to manage our expectations and emotions but i’m an over planner and control freak sooo- this is a true challenge for me at times, but I’m very lucky (in so many ways) (sometimes this all sounds so silly with everything going on in the world— not lost on me either) But to have an incredible partner like David and our amazing wedding planners @withaflairevents to help guide us and support us in this is more than I could ask for but.....it’s REAL and those of you also planning a wedding, I feel your pain 🤣 DM me, we’ll chat. I’m here with ya. ️ 2. Y’all keep asking about this amazing sports bra- and @showmeyourmumu used to make this but they are not doing athletic wear at the moment so this is exclusive* 🤣 3. Just remembered Inauguration Day is TOMORROW!!

Birthday Bear My boy is 7 today, 7?!?! Where did the time go?? I do not take for granted every day I get to spend with you, mostly staring at you while you sleep // + snore and fawning over how cute you are. You light up our lives with pure, sweet joy. I have loved the past year of being at home, getting to to spend time with you, time we would not have had otherwise. You make every day better and remind me of what really matters at the end of the day. I love you to pieces, Bear Bear. Oh and sorry for always making you take photos with me, I know how you love that.

Having a hard time getting motivated this week. Anyone else? One thing I know is that i’ve rarely, if ever said, “I shouldn’t have done that work out, I shouldn’t have taken that walk outside for fresh air.” BUT Listen to YOUR body. Listen to YOUR mind. Listen to YOUR heart. Only you can tell yourself what you need. Honor yourself and be kind. Deep breaths. I’m here with you! ️

It feels like a bad year to do dry January All jokes aside, this week was a doozy. I hurt for our Country, I’m angered at the non punishment of these domestic terrorists and feeling hopeless but charged up to do my part. If you follow me you know that I’ve been posting my trampoline workouts. Partially because they keep accountable and because I want to share with you my forms of self care. I work out because my body and mind crave it and I walk away feeling clearer and stronger. I picked this new form of work out in early December because my body and mind were craving a new challenge, something that would push me to learn more about myself. What are you doing to take care of yourselves these days? I’ve been saying that I was feeling like 2021 was going to be a *new* and different chapter (and it has been in many ways) but it’s also OK to admit that it’s been hard and some things that we expected to change in the New Year haven’t. Anyway, sending love to you all. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay sane.

Hello, 2021. Really, we don’t know what you will bring. We can only hope you’re better than the year we shall not speak of. This year, I’m not making a resolution “do less” of something. I always try and maintain a lifestyle that is centered around balance and am already hard enough on myself for that. I will though, resolve to be more mindful and thoughtful in appreciating the little things. I will be kinder to myself and others, and give myself the space to learn and grow however that manifests. If there’s anything we’ve learned, it’s that a lot in our life is luxury, that we don’t “need” to survive and I don’t plan on forgetting that when life goes back to a new normal. I’m looking forward to getting married this year and starting a new chapter and I’m really excited to be able to hug my friends again. 2021, I’m ready for you Happy New Year everyone! ️
