What do you do for cardio?! When I say I power walk everyday people sometimes laugh. But don’t underestimate the PW - it’s a great form of exercise 1️⃣ it’s gentle on the joints(compared to a harsh run)- you can do it everyday 2️⃣ toasts fat whilst retaining muscle, 3️⃣ increase bone density & sculpts whole body, 4️⃣ better blood circulation 5️⃣ cholesterol improvements, 6️⃣ the exposure to some hard-to-find Vitamin D (i.e. outdoors!), 7️⃣ the energised post-walk feeling, and 8️⃣ a nicely segregated chunk of time to think about things whilst getting to your destination. Preparing for a time when spring has sprung; squatting to put some extra spring in my quads ‍♀️ The benefits of one of the most fundamental & primal moves our skeletons are capable of performing; the humble, time-honoured squat. Few exercises compare for their ability to employ so many muscles simultaneously, & few yield such a wealth of physiological benefits. It’s a totally gravity-defying, Glute-targeting hero exercise! Delivers aesthetic results, stimulates functional movement It’ll help with everyday motions well into old age Develops overall fitness strength & performance. A full-depth squat is a sign of good mobility & strength, & whether or not we realise it, we perform a variation on this exercise every day – sitting on a chair, climbing out of a car, lifting boxes, visiting the bathroom (ahem)… So start light and have someone qualified evaluate your technique (to safeguard your back / knees); there are multiple components to a squat, so my advice would be to absolutely nail the technique first then gradually increase the weight.

The world is your Oyster! These little guys are HIGH IN PROTEIN & low in fat (Oysters contain just 4 grams of fat per serving, with less than a gram coming from saturated fat, vs 16g protein). The ‘Single cable crossover shoulder raise’, a.k.a. ‘The Travolta‘ This is a superb rear deltoid & rhomboid exercise How to? 1️⃣ Attach the cable to the lower lock. Grab the handle & stand sideways to the cable column. 2️⃣ Slightly bend your elbow. 3️⃣ Raise the handle, as if you're drawing a sword across your body. 4️⃣ Slowly & in a controlled fashion, return to the starting position. 5️⃣ Aim for 10-15 reps & then do the same on the other side. 🥚 Shakshuka 🥚 a delicously quick-&-easy, affordable, healthy dish, with a good payload of protein! How to make? 1️⃣ add chopped onion to a pan & sauté for a few minutes until the onion begins to soften. Add garlic & continue to sauté till mixture is fragrant. 2️⃣ Add tomatoes (tinned / fresh) stir until blended. Add spices (I like chilli, salt, cayenne pepper & basil) allow mixture to simmer over medium heat for 5 min until it starts to reduce. Optional add beans (kidney, chickpeas etc). 4️⃣ Taste the mixture & spice it according to your preferences. 5️⃣ Create two little holes within the tomato mix & crack & place the eggs in one each. The eggs will cook within a few minutes! 6️⃣ Devour! #shakshuka #healthy #fitnessontoast #fitin3

Three awesome glute stretches! Kicking off Monday w some stretching ‍♀️ Aim to always stretch after exercise & I'd also recommend incorporating stretching into your weekly routine it can help increase flexibility, resulting in improved performance + a lower risk of injury. great for anyone who sits for hours a day at a screen! 1. Seated Glute Stretch. 2. Crossover Stretch: The crossover stretch will help to release your hips, iliotibial (IT) band and lower back. 3. Piriformis Stretch avoid stretching if your muscles are cold; make sure you have a gentle warm up first. Avoid ‘bouncing’ while you stretch. Instead, gently hold the stretch for however long feels comfortable. If you feel any sharp discomfort, or pain, stop! ARM DAY!!! ️Overhead triceps extensions (cable machine) ️Cable bicep curls, ️Tricep push down, ️ Hammer curls . The notorious ‘guns’ (biceps) get a lot of attention whilst the triceps are often overlooked. These ‘triceps’ which make up two thirds of the arm, are a large, three-headed group comprising a long, medial & lateral head, all positioned towards the back of the upper-arm.
