This has been such a strange time for everyone. There are some days where I am positive and then nights or days like today where I just break down thinking about the current state of the world and all the essential workers putting themselves at risk to help us all in need. It’s also been really difficult quarantining in NYC by myself. ⁣ ⁣ I am trying my best to only put out motivating and positive content to keep everyone’s spirits strong. Though, after my recent story post, I’ve realized that many of you are feeling the same exact way from your messages. Thank you SO much for reaching out, it really means a lot. So I’m here to remind you that it’s ok to have breakdowns, it’s ok to cry, it’s ok to not be ok, you’re NOT alone. Struggling with negative thoughts and overwhelming feelings is to be expected, especially during this uncertain time. ⁣I am not a dark person at all but last night I couldn’t sleep and found myself having scary thoughts. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣If you are in distress, reach out for help and let others know how you are feeling. It’s important to acknowledge these feelings instead of keeping them bottled up and then BOOM you breakdown eventually. I also recommend checking in daily with your loved ones, friends, and neighbors to see how they are doing, as many of us are in the same position. If you need a friend to talk to, don’t hesitate to message me. I’m trying to answer as many DMs as I can ️ STAY INSIDE, WASH YOUR HANDS, AND STAY SAFE

I took a much needed day off from social media/ my phone yesterday as I thought it was fueling my anxiety even more. I’ve been lacking motivation and very lonely quarantining by myself to be honest. I am here to motivate you guys though!!! This workout will get your heart pumping and will challenge your upper body, lower body, and core. ️ SAVE, SHARE, and let’s crush it together! LINK in my bio for my @ home programs!⁣ ⁣ 1) Bear Crawl Hold w/ KB Pass - Start on your hands and knees. Lift your knees 2-3 inches off the ground and do your best to hold them there. Reach across your body and grab the kb with your right hand and slide it to the right side of your body. Alternate left and right hands. Make sure you are focused on keeping your hips still throughout the exercise. Do 20 reps! ⁣ ⁣ 2)Low Squat Hold w/ Figure 8 - Start in a low squat position, staying as low as possible throughout the exercise. Keeping your core tight and engaged, start weaving the kb through your legs in a figure 8 pattern. Do 10 reps in one direction and then change directions.⁣ ⁣ 3) Squat to Upright Row - Start standing tall with your KB in both hands and hanging it between the legs. Complete a squat, dropping the kb to the floor. On your way to a standing position, pull the kb to chest height (elbows high and upper arms parallel to the ground at the top position). Try to relax your upper traps so you're not shrugging your shoulders to your ears. Repeat 20 times!⁣ ⁣ 4) Heel Sit to Shoulder Press - Start in a tall kneeling position with the kettlebell at your chest. Sit back onto your heels. To come back up, think about driving your hips forward and squeezing your glutes. As you come back up to a tall kneeling position, press the kb overhead. Repeat 20 times. 5) Bent Over Single Arm Row - Start with your feet hip width apart hinging over at the hips so that your upper body is almost parallel to the ground. Keep your back flat and your core tight. With the KB in your left hand, complete 12 single arm rows before switching sides.⁣ ⁣ 6) Weighted Leg Abduction -> my caption is too long for IG check my Facebook page for the last 3 moves!!

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of posts having to do with appearances and wanting to lose this or that and I’m smh to be honest!! Right now, I think it’s so important to be focusing on our mental health instead of being so hard on ourselves physically.  I fully support getting daily exercise in or following a workout program to keep yourself on track for health reasons, however sometimes focusing so much on getting results can take a mental toll.  I know it’s hard as some people may not have workout equipment at home or access to their gym right now. Healthy food may be limited at the moment and many of us are guilty of emotional/stress eating- WHICH IS ALL OKAY! I literally have a date with my snack cabinet every night ( zero self control ) Please just don’t be so hard on yourselves. If you gain weight, that’s okay!  During these uncharted times, lets do everything we can to be positive and focus on our mental health and what we DO HAVE. Remember you are not alone ️ tag a friend who needs to hear this.

HEY GUYS, it’s me in my natural habitat (would love some new bathrobe brand recommendations and a quarantine buddy )  While quarantining in my apartment, I’ve been playing around with some homemade face masks recipes and think I found a favorite 🤪  This one is great for dry skin •1/2 🥑 ( The riper the better) •1/2 teaspoon coconut oil •2 tablespoons honey Mash your avocado until it’s creamy, and then blend in the rest of the ingredients. Apply to your face, avoid your eyes, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes!! Comment below and let me know what type of posts you want to see more of.. Healthy recipes, fitness tips, beauty tips, ETC!! I have been getting many requests to post more recipes while we are all at home so I thought I’d share a quick healthy one that is real easy to make! OVERNIGHT CHOCOLATE OATS No need to pull an all-nighter - these oats will do it for you! This delicious chocolate-y blend will be your new go to ~ Ingredients ~ 🥛 1/2 cup almond milk 1 ripe banana 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder 🥣 2/3 cup rolled oats Grated dark chocolate to serve ~ Instructions ~ Place all ingredients into your @blendjet - except for your rolled oats and dark chocolate. Pour your mixture over oats and stir it well. Sprinkle with dark chocolate and leave the oats to soak in the refrigerator overnight.

There is no question this is one of the craziest times of our lives. It almost feels as if the world has come to a pause and our heads are rattled with fear and so many emotions. Empowering one another, staying strong and maintaining a clear and positive mindset together is so important and all we can do right now! On that note.. These are just a few tips to stay healthy especially during this state of panic!! . 🤚Wash your hands (if soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer) - Clean and disinfect common objects and surfaces esp your phone and computer! - Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth - Stock up on your favorite snacks and toiletries ;) - Get lots of rest and eat well. The more you can support your immune system right now the better! - 🥤Staying hydrated throughout the day with water, juice, clear broth and warm lemon water - Keep a small hand sanitizer on hand at all times - Since a lot of public gyms are closing in certain areas, it’s a perfect time to do ‘at home’ workouts! Order yourself some dumbbells/bands and do one of my workout programs on the @fitplan_app (FREE week trial) link in bio! - Covid-19, basically the only thing people are talking about right now. It's spreading quickly and it's normal to be frightened or scared, but we are in this together guys!! Trust me I am the biggest hypochondriac but don’t waste your time stressing, just be careful!

Raise your hand if you’re feeling dessert for bfast ‍♀️On the hunt for something to satisfy your sweet tooth?! Maybe an apple pie? Well - here is my sweet solution: Oatmeal Stuffed Baked Apples! This recipe is easy and can be eaten for breakfast, a snack, or dessert with a lil vanilla ice cream 🤪 Here’s what you’ll need: 3 medium to large apples cut in half and cored 4 tablespoons coconut oil melted ¼ cup coconut sugar 3 tablespoons flour ½ cup rolled oats ¼ teaspoon cinnamon Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Cut and core your apples and arrange them cut side up in a baking dish. Combine your coconut oil, coconut sugar, whole wheat flour, oats, and cinnamon together. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Spoon the oat mixture evenly into the centers of the apples. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender and ENJOY!

There’s a new peanut butter cup in town. These little guys are insanely delicious, and the best part about them is how easy they are to make. I mean - dark chocolate + peanut butter = Because I only use dark chocolate in this recipe (and in life), it means that these peanut butter bites are clean, healthy, vegan and gluten free! Here’s how to make them! Line a baking tin with muffin tins and melt three to four bars of dark chocolate. Add a spoonful of melted dark chocolate to each cup, filling them about halfway. Spoon in around half a tablespoon of peanut butter into each cup Pour the remaining dark chocolate into each cup until the peanut butter is covered with chocolate. Freeze for eight to ten hours

Happy Sunday fam!! Change up your routine by incorporating the ‘landmine’! By changing a simple thing like the equipment you’re using, you can spice things up and make your exercise routine more exciting Save this video for the next time you’re in the gym!! (Link in my bio for all of my workout programs: you can start your FREE week trial today) - ️ SQUAT PULSE WITH ALTERNATING PRESS; Start In a wide stance with your toes slighting pointing outward. Sink low into your squat and hold the lower body in this position. The bar starts at one shoulder. As you do a small pulse, push the weight straight out by extending your arm and switch hands at the top. Continue in this movement for 20 repetitions! SQUAT HOLD WITH ROTATION Get into a wide stance with your toes slighting pointing outward. Sink low into your squat and hold the lower body in this position. Start with both hands holding the top of the bar at your chest. Begin the movement by pushing the bar away from you until your arms are straight. Keeping straight arms, rotate and let the weight fall to the left. Generate this twist from your trunk. Return back to center and pull the weight back to your chest. Push back out and repeat on the right side. Continue with this pattern 20 times! SPLIT SQUAT HOLD & PRESS Start with your left leg forward in a split squat position. Hold the top of the bar with your right hand. Sink low into your split squat and hold your back knee about 2” off the ground. Press the bar on a 45 degree angle until your arm is straight. Repeat 12 times before switching sides. Do this with control and make sure your torso and lower body stays still. SINGLE ARM HIGH PULL Start with your left leg forward in a long stance. Hinge forward until your upper body is almost parallel to the ground. Your right hand has the bar. As you pull the bar toward your ribs, keep your elbow wide and away from your body. Make sure your not shrugging your shoulder up towards the ear. Keep your shoulders pulled down and back throughout this exercise. Repeat 12 times before switching to the other side.
